Let's Meet Pastor Guy
Rev. Gayathri Baskaran Pratap (Pastor Guy) brings a unique blend of educational, ministry, leadership, and communications experience to her role as Principal of DCA. She holds an Honors Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, a Master of Divinity in Theology (Magna Cum Laude) from Liberty University, and marketing certification from York University's Schulich School of Business.
Prior to entering full-time ministry, Pastor Guy built a successful career in educational publishing, holding management positions with leading organizations including Scholastic Inc, John Wiley & Sons, and Thomson Publishing/Cengage Learning. Her work included product development, strategic marketing, communications, training, and leadership development. Over ten years ago, Pastor Guy also founded a college preparation coaching business, guiding high school juniors and seniors through every stage of the college admissions process. She provides individualized SAT and ACT tutoring, researches scholarship and grant opportunities, and offers comprehensive support with college applications, essays, and enrollment planning.
For more than fifteen years, Pastor Guy has served in pastoral leadership alongside her husband, helping lead churches, mentoring individuals and families, teaching biblical studies, developing ministry leaders, and overseeing discipleship programs. An ordained minister with the Assemblies of God, she has also functioned as a conference speaker, an ongoing instructor for AG’s School of Ministry, regional Women's Ministry representative, ministry presbyter, and is currently serving the Southern New England Ministry Network as its Intercultural Presbyter. Most recently, Pastor Guy served on the pastoral team at Victory Church (Sharon) where she founded and directed Victory Christian Preschool.
Pastor Guy is also the mother of three home-schooled children. Passionate about Christian education and student development, she is committed to cultivating academic excellence, biblical worldview formation, and strong partnerships between school, church, and family. She considers it a privilege to serve the students, families, and faculty of DCA and looks forward to helping the school continue its mission of preparing young people to thrive academically, spiritually, and in service to Christ.
