Spiritual Life at Dayspring
Spiritual Life at Dayspring
At Dayspring Christian Academy, students have the opportunity to grow spiritually and to know God. Our Biblical worldview permeates into everything that we do at Dayspring - from Chapel services, student led prayer group, faith-based mentorship, and fellowship with students and staff. Spiritual life at DCA is centered around Jesus; on Wednesday’s students, staff, and faculty come together as a body of believers to worship, pray, and meditate on God’s word in chapel services. Teachers meet weekly for devotions and there is a parent-led prayer group that prays for the students and staff. We strive to cultivate the foundations of spiritual development of each child to become true followers of Jesus Christ. Psalm 78:5-7, 2 Timothy 3:14-15
Gospel Centered
Matthew 6:33 (“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”)
· Mission focused
Mark 16:15 (And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.)
· Scripturally sound
2 Tim 4:2-4 (“Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.”)
· Communally integrated
Hebrews 10:24-25 (“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”)
